2010 Cadillac CTS Overview

Description
Cadillac's popular CTS returns for 2010 with some significant changes. While two engines still power the range, the standard unit is now a 270-hp 3.0-liter V6, rather than the 263-hp 3.6-liter of years past. The available direct-injection 3.6-liter V6 makes 304 hp. Each engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with driver shift control. Both rear-wheel drive and a performance-oriented all-wheel drive system are available, the latter mated only to the automatic.
The CTS-V offers 556 hp and 551 ft-lb from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, enough to get the lithe sedan to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, according to Cadillac.
New to the CTS mix is the SportWagon, a handsome station wagon that features 58 cubic-feet of cargo space, fold-flat split-folding rear seats, an integrated cargo management system, and a programmable power liftgate.
The CTS range does not lack for amenities, with an interior boasting hand-crafted trim in a variety of available woods, ambient LED lighting, a Bose stereo system, auto up/down windows, and 8-way power driver's seating. Available goodies include navigation, an upgraded Bose system with 300 watts, ten speakers, and a 40-gigabyte hard-drive music system that allows you to record live radio and burn CDs. An available Ultra-View sunroof is large enough to display the world above to both front and rear passengers.
All CTS models benefit from a strut tower brace that improves chassis stiffness, as well as big 12.4-inch disc brakes. Three different suspension tuning levels are available, ranging from comfortable to high-performance. While 17-inch alloy wheels are standard, 18-inchers are available.
Safety isn't overlooked in any aspect of the CTS, and a full range of airbags are standard, including dual stage front airbags, front passenger seat-mounted side-impact airbags, and head curtain side-impact airbags for passengers front and rear. Cadillac's StabiliTrak stability control and all-speed traction control are also standard.
