Ferrari

Beautiful, fast, and exotic, Ferrari has always built sports cars that elicit lust. Company chairman, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo explains, “We do not sell a car, we sell a dream,” and believes that the Ferrari mystique is based on exclusivity, extreme racing technology, and intense emotional appeal.

Though Montezemolo also joked that Ferrari would always build one less car than demand warrants; the Italian lineup has nonetheless grown over the past few years. Ferrari now offers four models: the retractable hardtop Ferrari California convertible, mid-engined Ferrari 458 Italia sports car, V12 powered Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, and luxurious Ferrari 612 Scaglietti 2+2 coupe.

Each model has ties to Ferrari’s success on the race track, with engines, gearboxes, aerodynamics, and electronics that are all directly influenced by the company’s Formula One racing cars. So at the very least there should be plenty of rabid race fans and car enthusiasts to grow that demand.
