Description

The 2010 Honda Odyssey comes in four basic trims: the base LX, the mid-range EX and the luxury Touring trim.

The Odyssey comes equipped with a 3.5L V6 VTEC engine that makes 244 horsepower and 240 foot-pounds of torque. For the EX-L and Touring, the same engine is standard, but also includes Variable Cylinder Management, which shuts down half of its cylinders when coasting or cruising at a low speeds. The V6 engine with VCM is slightly more powerful, rated at 244 horsepower and 245 foot-pounds of torque. All are mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The front suspension uses MacPherson Struts and the rear suspension is a multi-link double wishbone.

All trims include many standard safety features, including stability control, which Honda calls Vehicle Stability Assist, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, dual driver's and front passenger front airbags; front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS); 3-row side-curtain airbags with a rollover sensors; active front seat head restraints and a pedestrian injury mitigation design in the front of the vehicle.

Standard features on the base LX include front and rear air conditioning, keyless entry, a tilt and telescopic steering column, cruise control, power windows and doors, AM/FM/CD stereo system with four speakers and auxiliary audio input jack.

The EX adds as standard, 3-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, an 8-way power driver's seat with lumbar support, power sliding doors, 6-CD changer with six speakers, security system, alloy wheels, roof rails and fog lights. The EX also adds a second-row "Plus-One" removable seat to increase the passenger capacity to eight. The third row utilizes a "magic seat" that disappears into the floor with one easy motion. A rear-seat DVD entertainment system with a 9-inch screen is available on the EX as a $1,600 option. Optional leather seating adds $3,500, and also includes heated front seats, a power liftgate and a power moonroof.

The Touring trim features a premium audio system with 7-speakers and subwoofer, a programmable multi-information display with trip computer, a 2-position memory power driver's seat, power adjustable pedals, mirror memory, premium alloy wheels, corner and backup sensors, automatic headlights, navigation system with voice recognition, a rearview camera and Bluetooth communications system.
