Nissan is one of the boldest players in the mainstream market, with a lineup full of eye-popping designs and powerful engines. Owners love the confident look and feel of their vehicles and brag about cabins loaded with thoughtful and easy-to-use technology.

Nissan is aiming to become a leader in electric vehicle technology and is preparing a small lineup of zero emissions vehicle to join the Nissan Leaf, its first attempt at a mainstream electric car.

Though Nissan hails from Yokohama, Japan, the company has invested heavily in the US. Tennessee is home to Nissan’s North American headquarters, as well as two manufacturing facilities. A third manufacturing plant is based in Mississippi. There are also engineering and design studios in California, Arizona, and Michigan, plus a finance arm in Texas.
