ARTHUR UTLEY's 2009 Nissan Frontier Pickup review

I love the look of the my red Frontier. The roof rack is what drew me to it. Really classy design. The bed is completely lined for protection. The interior is really functional with a deep storage well between the leather bucket seats. It is great to drive on long trips.

    Improvement Suggestions

Improve the gas mileage. I get about 18.5 mpg on average. Better when taking long trips. It has two phone chargers but only one works without the engine running. Both should work when the car isn't running.

ASUguy's 2009 Nissan Frontier Pickup review

The Frontier is a suprisingly nice riding truck for the price. My brother owns this truck and it handles very well in the mountians. It's very capable of doing what any vehicle this size should to and performs well here.

It has many extra's for the owner that needs to utilize the real reason trucks were made. If you haul a bunch of items, it is very easy to tie the load down in the back with all of the extra securing devices in the bed.

The interior is decent for the mid-size truck but it could use some organization. The dash is laidout really neat and orderly. The sound system is good for a truck and the seating is comfortable but I have seen better in trucks.

The ride is a little stiff on the highway and seems to take a toll on your body and wears you down on trips longer than an hour but it is a truck and not a luxury ride.

    Improvement Suggestions

A little better suspension for comfort, seating comfort, add a switch for the bed light.

Lisa Marie's 2009 Nissan Frontier Pickup review

I own an older Nissan Frontier and love it. It always gets the job done and I haven't had any major problems in all the years I've driven it.

I went for a ride in this latest Frontier recently and was really shocked to find that it had gotten so big! I liked that the back seat in the new four-door model was so roomy (my truck is not), but seriously - what happened to my little easy-to-park Frontier? This new one is massive!

I do like the styling. It's aggressive and macho, but in a subtle way.

I also really liked the power. My friend was driving and he floored it when we were merging onto the freeway. It pushed me right back in the seat and we were at speed in no time. Pretty impressive punch.

    Improvement Suggestions

I was totally shocked when my friend told me how much he had paid for his truck because it seems like Frontiers used to be so cheap. Did the price go up when they made it bigger?

Also, I think that the MPG could be better. My friend says that he gets about 15-17 MPG on his commute (about half city and half highway driving). I guess that's the tradeoff for having so much power.

ABruce's 2009 Nissan Frontier Pickup review

My husband Roger has a Frontier and he loves it, and I have to say if I were into trucks, this one would probably be the one for me.

The Frontier fits Roger perfectly, tough and rugged. Roger works in construction and the Frontier is perfect for his needs, capable of hauling whatever tools or materials he's going to use, but also comfortable on the inside.

The crazy thing about the Frontier is how different it is on the inside from the outside. I mean, on the outside the Frontier is this big honkin' man truck, all testosterone. But on the inside, it's very neat, clean and comfortable. A lot of the time when I'm riding with Roger in the truck, I completely forget I'm in a four-wheel drive He-Man mobile.

    Improvement Suggestions

They could make it a little more accessible for short people like me. Also, we've had a few mechanical problems with it, which I find disheartening because the truck is only a few months old.

Geoff Herzog's 2009 Nissan Frontier Pickup review

One of my brothers had one of these but he needed to get a bigger truck eventually for work. I drove it a few times. The Frontier is strong. When I drove it I really felt the difference between my Nissan Hardbody (which was older) and this car. This baby has serious power under the hood.

The interior was spacious and it's way off the ground, which is something I prefer. I like to look down on those low riding sedans and coupes. I feel like I get a better picture of the road around me from up high.

This is a work vehicle for sure and yet it's mighty comfortable for the family too. This car is ready to go anywhere with its kicking engine and 4 WD. It also has a kinda classy look for a work horse species of car. I really liked the steering on this car as well.

    Improvement Suggestions

There's not much room for improvement here. This car s safe and strong. It's not the best on gas but no cargo-hauling vehicle like this one is. Kudos to Nissan.
