  My review:

  Overall this is a good vehicle. They screwed up badly, or perhaps with intent so they can increase the repair and maintenance revenues they receive. For example to replace a headlamp costs over $350 because of all the parts that have to be dropped or removed just to get to the headlamp. They should have taken a page from the european cars such as the Volvo where you just reach in, remove the filiment, replace it and put the cover back on. However, I particularly like the fact that the car has a manual shift it gives you much better control of the vehicle than the automatic version that I have also driven. One thing they have to stop doing is having the folks call you regarding how your experience was the day after you get it back from maintenance. Need to give it a few days to see how everything works. My dealer has messed up a few times but it did not show up for a few days and in one case a few weeks.

  My suggestions for improving this car:

  I have not looked at the newer versions of the CTS so I do not know what they have done in the way of improvements. Hopefully they have improved the ease of access for maintenance and repair.
